Peoples Postcode Lottery players across Fifewere being thanked this week by the Dunfermline City Hockey Club who has been awarded funding from People’s Postcode Lottery to purchase equipment towards a new coaching & training session program.
The funding was awarded by People’s Postcode Trust, the grant giving body of People’s Postcode Lottery.
People’s Postcode Trust Executive Manager Claire Montgomery said “People’s Postcode Trust were thrilled to award over £1000 to Dunfermline City Hockey Club. The project is one which will hugely benefit the surrounding community, and People’s Postcode Trust is delighted to be a part of it. People’s Postcode Trust is entirely funded by People’s Postcode Lottery. 40p from every single ticket is awarded to charities, and People’s Postcode Trust has already received more than £1.3 million, which has funded 220 projects across Great Britain.”
Dunfermline City Hockey Club Coach Ryan Green said “The Club project will engage individuals of all ages & ability in organised sport. Most players will be from the Dunfermline & West Fife area & we hope to encourage young adults into positive team activities and divert from some of the negative distractions in the area.”
Dunfermline City Hockey Club President Mike McInally said “We’re so pleased to have been successful in our application. We’d like to say a massive thank you to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, as this will make such a difference to us, and the local community.”
